Odessi - Moments Of Space

Odessi was a short lived collaboration between Leama, Mick Wilson & Mick Park... but what a collaboration it was! So we're throwing things back to Primal's first ever release... we felt it was about time the iconic Prog Trance anthem Moments Of Space was given a contemporary update...

London based DJ/Producer Facade (aka Adam Thomas) kicks off the remix package with a deep and moody progressive trance reworking. Punchy techno drums, layered acidic modulating bass lines & deep pads take this remix a little harder & darker than the original.

Giving an alternative adaption of Moments of Space, is the Polish Producer Milkwish. He has released on Anjuna Beats, collaborative with Jerome Isma-Ae and also frequently outputs on Enormous Tunes. Milkwish's uplifting remixing boasts big sweeping emotive pads that work alongside the original melody as well as a new synth arpeggio. There are several stripped back atmospheric break downs and drum rolls that build the mood.

The final remix comes from the Newcastle based UK producer Alan Ruddick. Alan delivers a stripped back break-beat reworking with vocal samples and euphoric pads.

Overall this dynamic remix single offers different moods and adaptive takes on the original track that most DJs would find a place for.

Jan Johnston - Superstar

Jan Johnston has collaborated with some of the biggest names in trance, BT, Freefall ('Skydive'), Tiesto ('Flesh'), Paul Van Dyk, Leama and Moor, Serge Devant, Tomski and Cosmic Gate.

To celebrate the 2019 release of her unreleased 'Emerging' album from 2000 we present a series of big name remixes from the Carpenters classic 'Superstar'

We are first presented with the slick dance groove production of Jan's remake from 2000. Next we head off to big name DJ territory. First we start off with a trance rework from the Dutch trancemeister king himself, Tiesto. Big room grooves all the wave. Next we take on a progressive tilt from US based Bill Hamel. Next it is back to UK for the Paul Oakenfold directed Perfecto remix. Just when you thought you couldn't get any more big names on the release we cram in a big room house version from NYC based Todd Terry.

Jan Johnston - As The Cracks Appear

Jan Johnston has collaborated with some of the biggest names in trance, BT, Freefall ('Skydive'), Tiesto ('Flesh'), Paul Van Dyk, Leama and Moor, Serge Devant, Tomski and Cosmic Gate.

To celebrate the release of her unreleased 'Emerging' album from 2000 we present a series of (old and new) remixes of one of the best tracks on the album 'As The Cracks Appear'.

The pop tinged original takes shows the songwriting roots of Jan, however for this Primal release it is all about the remixes.

First up we take a trip to Australia for a 2019 reworking from Matt Rowan. His low slung progressive monster gets things started. Highland take proceedings on a tech-prog-trance workout.

German 2000 scene-meisters Humate present their dubbed up affair next before The Unknown take things on a driving techno splurge. The package is rounded off with a trio of remixes of the track 'Religion'.
